I would discourage attendance at this church, not because the people don't mean well, but because those in leadership tend to discourage critical thinking. Leadership has sometimes even intentionally discouraged its members from having an intellectual mindset. Evolution and much of proven Science is explicitly rejected. There is very little openness to ideas outside of the Bible. Questioning basic assumptions about reality seems taboo within this community.
